You've seen images of famous sights in Marikina that I've already featured, but there are lots more to see that will interest most Pinoys.
My brother, Bot and I started our morning walks which we also use to take images that we find interesting. We captured Marikina's not so famous sights such as the Marikina Evolution Park, the Marikina River Carabaos, the bicyle lanes that are everywhere in the city, Marikina's high school and elementary school in Marikina Heights, just by the creek but it's nowhere near the sight you would imagine if an area is near a creek. These school surroundings are fabulous! We also took images of the Marikina River Ampitheater and the Gazebo.
These are just some of the bits and pieces of art that's scattered everywhere in the city. I have more and will post them later.
I also just recently found out that Marikina just opened its public library. This is one of my dream projects- to open my own library for students, educators and anybody who cares to use books, technology and multimedia for education. Since I don't have the funds (yet) to pursue this dream, just judging by Marikina's vision for the library, it somehow fulfilled a portion of my own dream. I'll check the library out and will share with you what I found out in my future blogs.
In the meantime, enjoy the images that I find interesting which I wanted to share with you.
I hope you'll find inspiration here to share your home city's projects and tourist attractions so we can share more information to encourage our fellow Pinoys to become tourists in their own country.
